Learning Support Assistant – Post 16

**SEN Learning Support Assistant.

**Working with learners aged 18-25.

**Full-time, on-going position.

**Potential for Permanent Contract.

**Client based on Essex/Herts border.


Our client is a specialist FE College for students with complex learning difficulties and associated medical needs.


They are based on the Essex/Herts border and their aim is to promote independent living and enhance the lives of the learners.


The students are studying for a City & Guilds qualification and the post will involve working on a 1:1 basis, supporting their education studies as well as providing emotional support where needed.


The position is Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30.


The successful candidate must have an enhanced DBS check which covers children and adults. We would be happy to put one in place if needed.


Previous experience of the following would be welcome but is not essential:


  • PECS
  • Makaton
  • Epi Pen Trained
  • Epilepsy training


Having access to a car is advisable as they are not based near any main railway or underground station.
