Our client is an outstanding trust of 7 Primary and Secondary Schools in Essex. They are currently recruiting for a School Facilities and Estate Manager to join them ASAP.
About the Job:
Our client is looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide leadership of all the facilities management functions across the trust as well as ensuring that there is a planned programme of maintenance and development of the school buildings, estates and facilities.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for;
- Line Management of all Premises/Site Managers and, in schools where there are no Premises/Site Managers, all premises staff as well as to Lead and Manage all functions across the trust.
- To ensure all of the trust’s estates are compliant with all health and safety legislation.
- To actively monitor developments and changes in legislation in respect of health and safety requirements and advise on appropriate action as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience of working in Education is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently whilst, at the same time, be able to form effective relationships with school staff, trust staff, governors and trustees. They will also have experience in some of the following areas: project management, strategic planning, risk management, buildings or facilities management.
