    Job Role: School Management Accountant.

    Location: Redbridge, East London.

    Start Date: ASAP.

    Salary: £32000 – £34000

    Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

     

    Active Recruitment are looking for a Management Accountant to join a secondary school based in Redbridge, East London.

     

    Candidate Profile:

    The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and schools’ funding/budgets arrangements is desirable but not essential. You will have a passion for finance and be proficient in IRIS Financials and Excel.

     

    The successful candidate will help to provide information, reports, analysis and maintain systems and processes with the support of senior finance officers within the school.

     

    Ideally, you will have a professional qualification in accounting or be workings towards AAT, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW etc).

     

    General Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Prepare bank account and credit card reconciliations in Iris Financials.
    • Manage and administer Parent Pay portal, including all income streams reconciled to ledgers, including credit control functions.
    • Support the month end process ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Processes include posting journals including accruals, prepayment, deferred income, and reclassifications.
    • Preparation of VAT 126 & 100 return submission for review.
    • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments, accruals, bank accounts, etc.) To support in the maintenance of financial records, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
    • Prepare petty cash reconciliation.
