We’re currently working with a welcoming and well-run school in Cheshunt that is looking to appoint a reliable, hands-on Caretaker to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a school community, and wants to make a real difference behind the scenes in keeping the site safe, clean, and running smoothly.
The Role:
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school site, including:
- Opening and securing the premises
- General maintenance and basic repairs
- Ensuring health & safety standards are met at all times
- Supporting with site cleanliness and upkeep
- Assisting staff and leadership with any ad-hoc site needs
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous caretaking experience within a school or a similar/transferable setting (e.g. estates, facilities, housing, care homes)
- A proactive, dependable and practical individual
- Someone who takes initiative and can work independently
- Strong understanding of health & safety on site
- DBS/CRB on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is highly desirable
